We're pleased to introduce the Radio Mast API, an easy way for developers to integrate streaming audio and services into apps.
The Radio Mast API offers significant time savings for developers working with streaming audio, by streamlining the creation and distribution of audio stream, backed by our global, redundant streaming audio network. It allows developers to focus on building applications, without worrying about running streaming servers like Icecast/SHOUTcast or maintaining Linux servers.
With the Radio Mast API, you can programmatically:
- Create audio streams powered by our global audio CDN, the Radio Mast Streaming Network, with capacity to serve thousands of listeners.
- Fetch connection information for connecting and broadcasting with a streaming audio encoder, like Rocket Broadcaster
- Monitor the uptime of audio streams
To get started, check out the API Quickstart Guide, which will teach you how to use the API to create a radio stream and start broadcasting.
In the future, we'll be expanding the API with more products, such as our Cloud Transcoder for streaming audio. We're always looking for feedback, so if there's a feature you'd like to see in our API, please let us know!
